About The Position

Morguard is a fully integrated real estate company that strategically invests in high-quality, well-located, multifamily assets across North America. Their onsite teams are critical to the success of their Communities. Morguard is hiring a motivated Leasing Consultant for their Apartment Community in Falls Church, VA. This role primarily involves all aspects of onsite apartment leasing, including handling incoming calls, online and in-person traffic, leasing apartments, and preparing leasing files for approval and renewals. The company is open to providing an opportunity to train and make a start in Property Management, noting this is an excellent first step. While they can train, they require a strong work ethic, compassion for residents, personal motivation, and a good foundation in communication, organization, and computer proficiency. The position is full-time, up to 40 hours per week, with a varying schedule. Overtime is compensated at time and a half when necessary. The Leasing Office is open from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekdays and 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturdays. The consultant is expected to be available to work up to 3 Saturdays a month, receiving a business day off in return. The Community Manager will support schedule flexibility and accommodate advance notice for time off requests.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • Strong administrative and organization skills
  • Thorough attention to detail (for lease administration)
  • Strong computer proficiency
  • An excellent attitude and willingness to learn
  • Resolve to provide prompt and friendly service
  • Proof of a valid Driver's License in good standing

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Restaurant/Hospitality or direct Multi-family Industry experience (1-2 years preferred)
  • Direct experience with Entrata or Onesite

Responsibilities

  • Greet all residents and prospective residents who visit or call the Leasing Office
  • Stay informed on surrounding market, community amenities, and floor plans available
  • Communicate with prospective residents to schedule apartment tours, assess their rental needs, and guide them through the leasing path to view prepared model units and onsite amenities
  • Perform market surveys of surrounding market & relay to the Community Manager
  • Invite all prospects to complete and sign lease documents; collect qualifying information and follow leasing protocol to prepare lease files for review and audit
