About The Position

The Leasing Consultant at MAA plays a crucial role in supporting the leasing operations and financial performance of an assigned apartment community. This position focuses on interacting with prospective residents, communicating the value of living in a MAA community, and securing lease agreements. The Leasing Consultant is essential in transforming properties into communities and apartments into homes, ensuring a high level of customer service and satisfaction.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least one year of experience in sales, hospitality, customer service, and/or leasing.
• Knowledge of apartment management laws and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Interact with prospective residents to provide information about the community and secure lease agreements.
• Initiate the screening process for prospective residents.
• Communicate lease expirations and facilitate lease renewals.
• Assist with property marketing activities and resident events.
