About The Position

The Leasing Consultant at Admiral Oaks in Annapolis, MD is responsible for marketing and leasing the property, ensuring a safe and attractive living environment for residents, and maintaining operational efficiency and strong financial results. The role involves implementing sales and marketing activities to achieve occupancy goals, ensuring compliance with the Fair Housing Act, and managing the lease renewal process. The consultant will interact with residents, collect rents, monitor delinquencies, and promote resident services initiatives. This position requires participation in training sessions and supporting other communities as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Previous sales and/or tax credit leasing experience preferred.
  • NCHM COS & TCS Certification or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong customer service orientation.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of telephone calls.
  • Possess and maintain reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Markets and leases the property, ensuring a safe and attractive living environment for residents.
  • Implements sales and marketing activities to achieve occupancy goals.
  • Ensures compliance with the Fair Housing Act and manages the lease renewal process.
  • Interacts routinely with residents and addresses concerns promptly.
  • Collects rents and manages delinquencies and collections.
  • Prepares and distributes reports on operational and financial data.
  • Promotes resident services initiatives and engages residents in activities.
  • Participates in required training sessions.
  • Keeps Property Manager informed of any information affecting property operations.
  • Supports other communities as assigned.
