About The Position

The Lease Operator reports to the Production Foreman. The primary purpose for this position is to maintain optimum production from assigned wells, perform required repairs and maintenance, and record meter/gauge readings on a regular basis. Special focus will be placed on: Maintains the production rate throughout the system. Performs daily operational checks of assigned wells and production facilities. Ensures that safety devices are operational. Tests wells to determine production rates and problems. Monitors equipment repairs. Performs housekeeping and basic maintenance of well-site duties. Operates and maintains central production treatment/storage/compression facilities and the operation and maintenance of water injection pumps, related equipment, and various utility support systems including oilfield boilers, centrifugal de-sanders and chemical injection equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1 - 4 years of related oil and gas production experience
• General knowledge of well operations, including general maintenance practices
• Ability to operate independently and manage time
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools, as well as lawn equipment
• Must possess valid driver's license
