About The Position
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Learning Specialist for the Academic Support Services. This position is integral to the university's commitment to fostering a supportive educational environment for all students, particularly those who may face academic challenges. The Learning Specialist will work closely with students, either on an individual basis or in small groups, to teach essential learning strategies and study skills that are crucial for academic success. A significant aspect of this position involves supervising and overseeing the development and implementation of support programs specifically tailored for student athletes who have been identified as academically at-risk. The Learning Specialist will collaborate with various stakeholders within the university to ensure that these programs are effective and accessible, thereby enhancing the academic experience for these students. In addition to direct student support, the Learning Specialist will be responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the implemented strategies and programs, making necessary adjustments based on feedback and outcomes.
