About The Position

As a Learning Services Specialist at TELUS International, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and administering various training programs designed to ensure high levels of performance within our expanding call center. This position requires a proactive individual with strong project management skills and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. You will be responsible for effectively communicating with team members and collaborating with other trainers to develop and implement effective classroom training skills. Your ability to identify training needs and recommend improvements will be essential in enhancing the overall training experience for our employees. In this role, you will oversee and administer a variety of training programs, including recurrent and new hire training. You will be tasked with scheduling training classes, organizing course materials, and presenting courses to ensure that all training programs run smoothly and effectively. Working closely with the management team and clients, you will identify training needs, review training materials, and coordinate multiple training sessions, often simultaneously. Additionally, you will assist program and campaign trainers in developing their classroom training skills and participate in various Human Resources and company committees. Your responsibilities will also include participating in the agent-level selection process and performing other duties as assigned, which may involve taking front-line customer calls on a set schedule each month. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of one year of training experience, preferably in a call center or classroom environment, along with at least two years of team management experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent presentation abilities, and exceptional organizational and time management skills are essential for success in this position.
