About The Position

This is a .5 FTE continuing contract position for a Learning Resource Teacher beginning as soon as hired. The position will be shared between Scriber Lake High School (.2 FTE) and Edmonds Heights K-12 (.3 FTE), located on the same campus. The schedule includes morning classes at Scriber Lake Monday through Friday and late morning to afternoon classes at Edmonds Heights on Mondays and Tuesdays, with specific times to be determined. At Edmonds Heights, the position will primarily focus on secondary math and behavior support. Preference will be given to candidates that currently have an ELL, ESOL, or Bilingual endorsement. SIOP training and GLAD training offered by the Multilingual Education Department will be required for all new employees unless they can show evidence of having completed SIOP and GLAD training previously. Training will need to be completed within the first year of employment.

Requirements

  • Washington State Teaching Certificate with an endorsement in Special Education, or the ability to obtain one prior to the position start date.

  • Eligibility for a non-continuing contract position will be determined at the time of hire by counting the total anticipated compensated hours from the date of hire through the end of the non-continuing contract.
