The Opportunity The Learning Professional serves as the learning and performance consulting needs of Velera’s financial institutions. The position is responsible for executing training strategies related to onboarding new clients, delivering programs utilizing current adult learning principles and theories, and ensuring the transfer of knowledge to enhance job performance. This role requires a basic knowledge of Velera products and services. This individual will create and deliver customized presentations to meet the requirements of each financial institution engagement. Day in the Life Exhibit a proficient understanding of all Velera products and technology solutions, including but not limited to ATM/Debit/Credit, Full-Service Credit, Integrated Debit, fraud tools, and other associated add-on services. Require strong knowledge of the overall network processing environment. Conduct pre/post conversion analysis to develop comprehensive learning plans. Provide support, including critical thinking and decision-making, based on issues that arise. As necessary, conduct complex research and other activities to ensure the successful transfer of knowledge. Act as the liaison between the financial institution and Velera staff during the conversion process to obtain answers and address client issues in a timely manner. When necessary, defuse the client situation by balancing emotional intelligence and situational logic. Strategize, develop, implement, and lead highly effective, results-driven learning and training plans using appropriate adult learning and delivery methods to external Velera client audiences, according to project timelines, desired performance outcomes, and learner needs. Facilitate quarterly calendar class training for our financial institutions on a variety of topics regarding Velera solutions, systems, and services. Deliver client-facing billable training sessions as required. Use a variety of training methods to engage participants and enhance learner retention and performance. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through observation, feedback, learner retention, and a variety of assessment mechanisms to ensure a positive client experience. Collaborate with SMEs, vendors, and Velera departments to ensure alignment of training programs with organizational goals. Communicate effectively with participants, providing guidance, support, and follow-up, as needed. Partner with SMEs, vendors, and Velera departments to identify, prioritize, and recommend training solutions. Aid in determining learning objectives, developing and executing engaging training sessions that enhance performance. As needed, analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate (ADDIE) blended learning that aligns with adult learning principles for new/existing clients and proactively provide solutions to enhance training content and delivery of training to financial institutions in partnership with internal partners. Adhere to style guidelines and design standards that conform to Velera’s marketing brand for the development of all training materials. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Degree in Adult Learning, Education, or Business Management, or equivalent combination of education and/or related experience or coursework required.
  • Two (2) to Five (5) years of training and development experience, including needs analysis, program development, training delivery, and performance consulting required.
  • Two (2) years of professional knowledge and experience in financial services (credit cards, merchant activity, debit cards, lending, etc.).
  • Experience with a learning management system.

Nice To Haves

  • Payment processing, First Data, FIS, Mastercard, Visa ATM knowledge (preferred).
