About The Position

The Learning Management Systems (LMS) Specialist plays a vital role within the Learning and Development Team, focusing on the maintenance, enhancement, and optimization of the learning management system. This position involves providing administrative support, troubleshooting, uploading content, and offering technical assistance to users. The specialist will work collaboratively across departments to foster a culture of continuous improvement and enhance the learner experience through effective use of data and metrics.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years as System Administrator for Learning Management system.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in training, facilitation, or organizational development functions.
  • Strong knowledge of various LMS platforms.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Strong proficiency in extracting and analyzing data across multiple organizational levels and programs.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual/Spanish-speaking skills are preferred.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Industrial Psychology, or a closely related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize the use of the learning management systems (LMS) by identifying strengths, opportunities, and improvements.
  • Manage, schedule, and coordinate all course logistics including inputting courses, coordinating accommodations, and monitoring registrations.
  • Upskill users in navigating the LMS by creating training resources and conducting support workshops.
  • Collaborate with County Communications to create accessible print and electronic materials for programs and courses.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product and system updates regarding the LMS.
  • Track, analyze, and present content related to learner enrollment, completion, satisfaction, engagement, and feedback.
  • Develop learning and development reports and dashboards.
  • Serve as support for learning and development initiatives, ensuring training needs and deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and external vendors to assist in training delivery.
  • Facilitate within the County's Learning & Development team and present key curriculum.
  • Assist in the development of strategic efforts surrounding learning & development initiatives and programs.
  • Promote and develop training programs, collaborating with the L&D team regarding instructional design.
