About The Position

Demco is seeking an Outside Sales Representative (referred to as Learning Environment Field Consultant) for the K-12 Educational Market. This remote role involves driving sales and building relationships with key decision-makers in K-12 schools and public libraries within a designated territory. Demco, with over 120 years of experience, provides innovative solutions, high-quality products, and services, including furniture, supplies, and learning materials, to empower education communities and libraries. The ideal candidate is passionate about education and eager to impact the future of learning by transforming learning environments.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities; comfortable presenting to educators, administrators, and library professionals.
  • Highly motivated, competitive, and goal-oriented with a passion for achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Team player who thrives in a supportive environment and works well across departments to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Excited to learn, grow, and navigate a fast-paced, evolving sales environment.
  • Able to participate in tradeshows, including setup and breakdown, and occasionally assist with on-site installations or sample deliveries.

Responsibilities

  • Connect and engage with K–12 schools and public libraries, introducing innovative learning space and furniture solutions, uncovering needs, and identifying new opportunities.
  • Schedule and attend in-person or virtual meetings with educators, administrators, and library leaders to build relationships and showcase products.
  • Visit customer sites when needed to take measurements, capture photos, and partner with design teams for accurate and inspiring proposals.
  • Represent and network at regional tradeshows, engaging with attendees, demonstrating solutions, and growing brand presence.
  • Log activity in the CRM, coordinate with internal teams on next steps for active opportunities, and track progress toward sales goals.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary of $50,000 - $80,000
  • Variable uncapped commission plan that pays $15,000 at quota
