About The Position

The Glen Rock School District is anticipating an opening for a Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC)/School Psychologist for a leave replacement position. This role is essential in providing support services to students with learning disabilities and exceptional needs. The position is district-wide and is expected to start on August 26, 2025, for the 2025-2026 school year.

Requirements

  • Must hold NJ LDTC and/or School Psychologist Certification.
  • Experience in the administration and interpretation of evaluation instruments.
  • Extensive knowledge of reading disabilities and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of special education programs and experience working with individuals with exceptional needs.
  • Understanding of the IEP process and current state law/regulations regarding proficiency standards.
  • Skilled in communicating concepts and information accurately, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective liaison relationships with parents, schools, and agencies.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of community resources.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and interpret evaluation instruments to determine eligibility for special education and related services.
  • Conduct effective Child Study Team meetings and parent/staff conferences, including resolving disagreements.
  • Coordinate activities from various sources for the benefit of individual students.
  • Aid in program development and staff inservice training.
