About The Position

The Learning & Development (L&D) Specialist at Goodwill-Easter Seals Minnesota (GESMN) is responsible for coordinating, producing, and facilitating training programs for leaders and individual contributors. This role involves maintaining accurate records in the learning management system (LMS), monitoring employee progress, and ensuring timely enrollment in required training. The L&D Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing employee skills and supporting organizational goals through effective training initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in training and work experience.
  • At least one year of facilitation experience, preferably in both virtual and in-person formats.
  • Experience in event planning and coordination, including scheduling and creating promotional materials.
  • One year of experience managing high-volume and detailed records.
  • Experience performing basic administrative functions in a learning management system preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate details of HR & Risk training initiatives, including creating an annual training calendar and managing employee registration.
  • Maintain accurate employee records of learning and development activities, attendance, and assessments.
  • Facilitate essential leadership courses for new people leaders within their first year.
  • Monitor learning and development tickets, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Produce live internal training sessions and support presenting partners and learners with technology.
  • Deliver training using various formats including group discussions, lectures, simulations, and videos.
  • Partner with L&D Sr. Specialist to evaluate and update training content as needed.
  • Upload and organize HR & Risk training content within the LMS, ensuring accuracy and alignment with learning objectives.
  • Enroll users in relevant courses and monitor employee progress and completion.
  • Generate reports on completion rates and conduct regular audits for data accuracy.
