About The Position

The Learning & Development Associate is responsible for designing, conducting, and organizing training programs aimed at improving employee performance and enhancing organizational productivity. This role involves assessing training needs, developing training materials, and delivering various training formats to ensure that employees acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their roles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in education, organizational development, business, or a similar field.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in a trainer/training manager capacity.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the banking industry preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment, including proficiency in Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong active listening skills and the ability to convey information effectively.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design for adult learners.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with multimedia production and communication techniques.
  • Familiarity with compliance training and regulations in the banking industry.

Responsibilities

  • Assess training needs through consultation with managers, interviews with employees, focus groups, or surveys.
  • Plan, develop, and provide training and staff development programs using effective adult learning methods.
  • Select and use appropriate training/instructional methods and procedures for different audiences.
  • Offer specific training programs to help workers maintain or improve job skills.
  • Develop or obtain training manuals, guides, course materials, handouts, and multimedia visual aids.
  • Evaluate training materials to ensure relevance and alignment with needs assessments and skills gap analysis.
  • Conduct or arrange for ongoing technical and skills training and personal development classes for managers and staff.
  • Present information to trainees using various instructional techniques or formats.
  • Train managers and supervisors in coaching and developing employees.
  • Monitor training costs to ensure budget compliance and prepare cost/benefit analysis for training expenditures.
  • Develop testing and evaluation procedures for skills and technical training programs.
  • Build and maintain an organization-wide training database and create management reports as requested.
  • Create and maintain an annual training calendar based on needs analysis and adjust as necessary.
  • Administer annual compliance assignments for all employees.
  • Deliver monthly HR Orientation sessions.
