The Learning Design Architect (LDA) plays a pivotal role within the Learning & Skill Development (LSD) organization, which is essential for fostering a digital culture and mindset across the Commercial and Medical Group (CMG). The LDA is responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and the necessary learning and organizational change management to achieve strategic outcomes. This position involves developing strategies for learner journeys and curriculum content that align with business objectives, focusing on skill building across various roles and business units. In this role, the LDA will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the organization and its dynamics, driving skill and behavioral change across a network of job roles to facilitate organizational transformation. The LDA will develop domain expertise and maintain skill maps across all business units and job roles, emphasizing a proactive and strategic approach. The LDA will collaborate with Learning Business Partners (LBP) to analyze emerging business challenges beyond the immediate transformation focus, extracting relevant data and insights to inform design decisions. This includes designing, developing, and maintaining role-based learning journey maps that identify skill needs and produce appropriate training to support the organization's 2-3 year transformation strategy. Utilizing both quantitative and qualitative data, the LDA will inform learning design decisions and create strategic learning journeys tailored for multiple roles. The position requires identifying suitable delivery methods based on business problems and audience needs, necessitating a solid understanding of technologies used for delivering learning at scale, including authoring tools, workflow learning tools, learning management systems, and skill management systems. The LDA will also be responsible for quickly assembling cross-functional teams of instructional designers, multimedia designers, facilitators, and subject matter experts to design and develop learning products, setting deadlines and maintaining pace to ensure timely delivery. Additionally, the LDA will partner with instructional designers to create content maps, detailed design documents, storyboards, prototypes, and finished products across various learning media, including eLearning, instructor-led training (ILT), podcasts, and assessments. Mentoring and coaching instructional designers will also be a key aspect of this role, ensuring project success and supporting personal development.
