The Learning Consultant designs, implements, and evaluates training strategies to enhance employee performance or educational experiences. This role goes beyond traditional course development to create strategic, human-centered learning environments. The Learning Consultant assesses skill gaps, curates content and implements digital-first strategies—such as blended learning, AI-enabled tools, and microlearning—to strengthen capability development and improve organizational performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Usually 3–5 years in training, instructional design, or L&D roles.
  • Proficiency in LMS platforms, e-learning development tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate), and strong project management skills.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning theories.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to blend technology with traditional teaching methods.

Responsibilities

  • Needs Assessment: Consult with stakeholders to identify performance gaps and learning objectives.
  • Instructional Design: Create engaging training materials, including e-learning, workshops, and blended learning solutions.
  • Facilitation: Deliver training sessions in-person or virtually, and conduct "train-the-trainer" sessions.
  • Evaluation: Measure the effectiveness of training programs using analytics and feedback to drive improvement.
  • Content Management: Maintain and update learning management systems (LMS) and training materials.
