About The Position
The position involves providing peer-supported learning for students enrolled in specific high-risk courses by collaborating with faculty to plan and facilitate weekly supplemental instruction (SI) sessions. The role requires attending all class sessions, whether online or in person, and demonstrating effective note-taking skills. Communication with faculty and maintaining a resource page for students are essential components of the job. Additionally, the position includes preparing for each SI session, submitting lesson plans, and facilitating group learning and participation in study sessions. The tutor will also need to maintain familiarity with course outcomes and keep accurate records of attendance and session topics.
