About The Position

We are looking for a Co-Director to help the Director in this actively growing center. The ultimate candidate will have a desire to stay long term and eventually move up to Director of this center. This position is for our Severna Park, MD Mathnasium location, where you will play a part in shaping the minds of the next generation. The role is not just about tutoring; it involves community engagement through events and activities that support local families. You will have the opportunity to make a difference in the community while enjoying a fun and team-oriented work environment.

Requirements

  • Passion for math and working with students
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Learning center experience is preferred
  • College degree (or degree seeking candidate) required
  • Eagerness to learn and be trained
  • Ability to cultivate teamwork and balance education and sales responsibilities
  • Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I (Pre-calculus and Calculus knowledge a plus!)
  • Proficiency in computer skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist in client satisfaction to help with the retention of existing enrolled families
  • Oversee and ensure the educational progress of enrolled students, managing learning plans
  • Manage and train all center staff, ensuring best practices are utilized
  • Build relationships with the community through events inside the center and within the community
  • Support the Center Director in administering student assessments and developing student learning plans
  • Assist with sales responsibilities, including responding to leads and enrolling students
  • Provide exceptional customer service by building relationships with families and communicating student progress
  • Lead and coach team members to effectively deliver individualized instruction in a group setting
  • Manage students' learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions
  • Mentor and support employee development by providing on-the-job training to instructional staff
  • Teach/tutor in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method
  • Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes
  • Support the maintenance of a safe and professional learning environment
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed
