The Learning and Development Manager at See's Candies is responsible for designing and overseeing training programs that address company-wide developmental needs and initiatives. This role plays a crucial part in enhancing employee performance and engagement, while also impacting talent management and development within the organization.

  • Conduct and develop needs/skills gap assessments to identify training needs.
  • Work closely with HR to integrate training with employee development plans.
  • Design training and development programs in conjunction with departmental budgets.
  • Select and/or develop effective training materials and methods for group and individual learning, including e-learning courses and game-based platforms.
  • Train and coach managers and supervisors involved in employee development efforts.
  • Plan, organize, and facilitate employee development and training events.
  • Facilitate onboarding programs for new hires.
  • Manage training platforms including Workday Learning, EdApp, and HR Classroom.
  • Implement effective methods to evaluate all completed training to measure results and effectiveness.
  • Modify and update programs as needed.
  • Collaborate with business leads, management, and HR staff.
  • Create, present, and administer the training budget.
  • Establish change management strategies and principles.
  • Establish a benchmarking program to identify key competencies for positions.
  • Perform special projects as assigned by management.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance technology and innovation for departmental effectiveness.
  • 7 years of Learning and Development experience with knowledge in talent assessment and performance management.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing effective learning strategies and employee development programs.
  • Professional presence and high degree of personal and professional credibility.
  • Strong project management skills; experience with Learning Management Systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, communication, and consulting skills.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Proven ability to understand strategic organizational issues and influence change.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to understand multi-cultural attributes and tailor solutions.
  • Intermediate skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly and manage change efficiently.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or a similar field.
  • Experience with Workday Learning, Linkedin Learning, ED-App, HR Classroom.
