Why Join Us | DuPont Careers The Learning and Development Leader for the Pencader manufacturing site provides the vision and strategy to drive learning and development best practices. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing training and personal development throughout all areas of the organization including, but not limited to, manufacturing training and qualification, maintenance training, OSHA and other regulatory required training, and employee development. The Learning and Development Leader drives collaboration across multiple departments to achieve training goals and is responsible for identifying training needs and developing tailored learning content.

Requirements

  • High School diploma required, Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience working in Operations or Manufacturing environment
  • Three or more years of experience in learning and development
  • Demonstrated ability to develop high quality learning and development materials
  • The ability to use advanced technological training methods such as simulations, video training, holographic, virtual reality, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability around different types and methodologies of training/adult learning principles
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively deliver training including hands-on training for SMEs and site personnel
  • Strong performance assessment of individual being trained, problem solving, teaching and instructional skills
  • Ability to lead by influence
  • Interpersonal and leadership skills to establish and manage relationships across multiple sites, networks, and vendors
  • Demonstrated team leadership skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Demonstrated program management skills
  • Working knowledge of e-Learning software, preferably iLearn
  • Excellent PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to learn and work with Adobe Captivate
  • MS Office Suite skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop an overall vision and strategy for Learning and Development (L&D) by assessing the training management process, course offerings, and delivery methods to align to the Site Strategic Plan.
  • Connect with learning leads and HR via the Learning and Development Council to coordinate and align standards and best practices.
  • Work with site leadership and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to institute appropriate knowledge management practices/processes and ensure institutional knowledge is preserved and effectively disseminated.
  • Support transitions (e.g., new systems, processes, etc.) with training that reduces downtime and resistance to accelerate adoption and document change management.
  • Ensure facilitative learning techniques based on adult learning principles are understood and applied to all development activities by all area resources (SME’s, department trainers, supervision, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain a structured onboarding program to assist new hires.
  • Manage training records and management of change documentation for site employees.
  • Implement and manage the site’s Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Work with business and functional learning leads to understand emerging business trends and design, develop and implement effective training and competency development programs.
  • Prepare future leaders to manage teams effectively, improving overall team productivity, decision-making and strategic thinking across the site.
  • Develop metrics and KPI’s (e.g., training ROI, performance, etc.) to keep stakeholders updated, maintain alignment and refine programs for maximum impact.
  • Build capability among SMEs for delivery of training, including facilitation techniques and creating learning documents.
  • Set expectations and hold people accountable for Core Value compliance (SHE/PSM, Ethics and Respect for People) and model the appropriate behavior.
  • Support the implementation of initiatives that enhance a safe, conscientious and respectful site culture.
  • Plan, budget, request and control external training services.
  • Leverage digital tools to reduce training costs.
