About The Position

The Learning and Development Director provides strategic leadership for learning and talent development programs within the Image Guided Therapy Devices (IGTD) business. This role sets the learning and development vision and multi-year roadmap, partners with senior leaders to align capabilities to business strategy, and ensures scalable, measurable solutions across a global, matrixed organization. The Director leads through influence to design and govern core programs (e.g., onboarding, leadership development, mentoring, early career pipelines, rotational programs, and learning grants), leverage relevant enterprise-wide content, drive adoption of modern learning modalities (including technology and AI-enabled solutions), and establish metrics to demonstrate business impact. This role impacts the execution of our strategy as we develop our people aligned with our future plans by partnering with executive stakeholders and functional leaders across the globe, including sites in the US, Netherlands, Costa Rica.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in learning and development, talent management, HR, or related field.
  • Leading large, cross-functional programs in a global, matrixed environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, multi-year learning/talent portfolios across multiple functions and geographies.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Deep knowledge of adult learning theory, learning experience design and evaluation models.
  • Ability to translate theory into practical, business-relevant solutions.
  • Ability to successfully perform the minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.

  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment.
  • Must reside in or within commuting distance to Plymouth, MN; Colorado Springs, CO; or San Diego, CA.

Nice To Haves

  • Medical device or health technology experience (a plus).
  • Program/portfolio management certification.
  • Master’s degree preferred in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or related field.
