This team consists of learning designers, learner success advocates, live session instructors, and career coaches. Employees on this team work as part-time contractors. Navigating ambiguity, collaborating with team members, and taking ownership are necessary traits for success in the role. The learning team is essential to the success of Ziplines by supporting learners to achieve success in the course and in their career aspirations. As a Learner Success Advocate for Artificial Intelligence (AI), you’ll serve as the main point of contact and guide for learners enrolled in our AI course —supporting them as they build confidence using AI tools, strengthen prompt and communication skills, and apply AI thoughtfully in real-world contexts. You will work approximately 10-15 hours per week , spanning 5 to 7 weeks . Your primary goal is to ensure learners stay engaged, feel supported, and successfully complete the program—especially as they navigate the emerging, sometimes ambiguous landscape of AI.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in customer-facing, education, or coaching roles.
  • Solid knowledge of—AI technologies, particularly prompt engineering and tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or similar platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new tools, troubleshoot common issues, and explain concepts clearly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills tailored for diverse adult learner audiences.
  • Experience with Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, LMS platforms, and CRM systems.
  • Confident working autonomously in a remote-first, fast-paced startup environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with best practices in adult learning or online education within an edtech setting
  • Experience supporting or working in rapidly changing technical environments.
  • Experience with or involvement in short-form online learning formats, such as bootcamps or certificate programs.
  • Experience working with AI tools like ChatGPT or comparable LLM, Miro, Deep Research (OpenAI Agent), Make.com or N8N is a plus.
  • A mindset of curiosity and staying current with fast-evolving AI capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for your assigned learners across Slack, email, and Zoom.
  • Foster trust and connection while supporting learners in overcoming both technical challenges and emotional hurdles as they navigate the AI landscape.
  • Lead weekly Slack communications, provide motivational updates, and respond promptly to questions.
  • Conduct 1:1 check-ins or small group outreach for at-risk learners, providing personalized support and encouragement.
  • Engage in weekly live sessions as a moderator and co-host, managing Zoom logistics, chat engagement, breakout rooms, and learner support needs.
  • Partner with instructors to create an interactive, high-energy environment that reflects the dynamic nature of the AI space.
  • Identify and address learner experience challenges, including issues related to content clarity, assignment expectations, or access to tools.
  • Track learner activity, completion of weekly assignments, and participation in both asynchronous and synchronous components.
  • Flag and proactively intervene with at-risk learners, using data from the Learning Management System and communication logs.
  • Maintain updated and organized documentation on each learner’s progress and engagement.
