About The Position
Siemens is seeking a Lean Transformation Manager for their Grand Prairie, Texas plant, who will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence within the Siemens Electrical Distribution Equipment Manufacturing facility. This position is essential for developing a vision and executing a strategic plan aimed at elevating the factory's operations to a future state characterized by high performance, lean efficiency, and continuous improvement. The Lean Transformation Manager will be responsible for creating a comprehensive roadmap for change and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence throughout the organization. As an experienced leader, you will engage your team and collaborate with various departments to transform the existing complex Engineer-to-Order (ETO) manufacturing process into a streamlined, efficient Make-to-Order (MTO) process. In this role, you will lead the deployment of lean tools and methodologies such as 6S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping across all departments, including mechanical and electrical assembly, fabrication, material delivery, and robotic operations. You will build and lead a high-performing lean transformation team, providing direction, mentorship, and support to ensure alignment with transformation objectives. Additionally, you will optimize material flow and layout to enhance efficiency in material handling, assembly, and fabrication processes, integrating robotic or automated operations where appropriate. Working alongside the data analytics and automation teams, you will identify, analyze, and implement best practices for lean operations, while also evaluating and integrating new technologies and automation solutions that align with lean principles to enhance manufacturing efficiency. Furthermore, you will ensure that lean principles are integrated into the factory's safety programs, enhancing workplace safety alongside process improvements.
