About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking a Lean Practitioner (Level 4) to join the Fabrication Emergent Operations Team in North Charleston, South Carolina on 1st Shift! Boeing South Carolina (BSC) Fabrication SC Emergent Operations Team is looking for a motivated team member to join the team as a Level 4 Lean Practitioner. You'd be joining during a critical time to support the production system. You'll be working directly with our Manufacturing teams to improve Safety, Quality, Flow and Stability within one of the Manufacturing Business Units at the BSC Airport Campus. The successful candidate must be able to assist operations and other support functions in improving their business. This Will include, establishing and deploying 5S standards, Improving Employee Involvement Forums across the manufacturing business unit and utilization of lean tools to lead and support various level of continuous improvement activity. The Successful candidate demonstrates the Boeing Values and Behaviors and has communication skills that allow them to effectively partner at the shop floor as well as leadership levels within the Business. This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience establishing Lean manufacturing and/or continuous improvement practices and tools in a manufacturing environment
• 5+ years’ of Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience
• 5+ years’ experience with analyzing data and generating metrics reports
• 3+ years ‘of experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to support other shifts as needed

Nice To Haves

• 5+ years of 787 Program Experience and/or fabrication experience
• 3+ years in a fast pace emergent manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Assists and Instructs others in continuous improvement tools and principles
• Leads and facilitates (Lean tool certified) process improvement efforts
• Supports advanced continuous improvement tool application
• Participates in strategy development
• Comfortable working directly with Senior Managers and First Line Leaders and contribute to Director level strategies
• Supports MBU Kamishibai
• Supports 5S Activities
• Supports One BPS Transformation Assessments
• Will learn and eventually lead Value Stream Mapping
• Will Learn and Lead BPSM and RSPS
• Interfaces directly with manufacturing teams to facilitate/stabilize Employee Involvement Forums
