About The Position

The Lean Manufacturing Manager is a key resource for supporting the Military Flight Controls Division in its Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) initiatives and lean transformation. This role focuses on implementing the Parker Lean System (PLS) to eliminate waste in manufacturing and support functions, providing hands-on training to associates, and measuring progress through various assessments. The manager will lead lean initiatives, develop strategies for quality and productivity improvements, and ensure adherence to PLS standards across the division.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a BSME or related four-year technical degree.
  • At least five years of manufacturing experience with a self-starting and hands-on quality.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Lean principles such as Value Stream Mapping, Just-In-Time, and Continuous Improvement Process.
  • Experience leading a minimum of ten Kaizen events in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good understanding of financial measurements and goals in the Lean enterprise.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in both manufacturing and office areas for Kaizen events.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, fixturing, tooling, and EH&S.

Responsibilities

  • Work with division staff and plant management on lean implementation using Parker Lean Systems.
  • Develop a robust Lean Future State Strategy for division-wide implementation.
  • Standardize manufacturing processes to support quality and productivity improvements.
  • Lead PFMEA activities to mitigate failures in the manufacturing environment.
  • Ensure adherence to PLS standards for Site, Value Stream, and Team Improvement boards.
  • Support Plant Lean Leaders and Manufacturing Engineers in multi-site divisions.
  • Provide technical and operational recommendations to meet productivity, material control, product quality, and customer service goals.
  • Communicate the status of all Lean efforts to the Division Lean Manager.
  • Document results and benefits achieved through Parker's Lean Journey Assessment and Win scorecard.
  • Champion and lead lean initiatives at the Division level using the Company's WIN Strategy.
