The job purpose is to assist in implementing lean manufacturing principles across various departments by conducting process analysis, identifying waste, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and execute improvement initiatives, gaining hands-on experience with lean tools and methodologies to optimize operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Ability to work on the plant floor for up to 8 hours a day
  • Work with multiple personalities
  • Strong communication skills
  • Computer Skills (Microsoft) Web Platforms (open to learning KPI and Pareto)
  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in a related field

Responsibilities

  • KPI/ Pareto (identification of bottlenecks)
  • 5s standards - ability to help move a culture on the plant floor
  • Cycle time studies (on bottleneck lines)
  • Kamishibai Boards for Standard Work
  • Create Standard Work
  • Assist the EOS Value Stream (EOS Manager, Value Stream Manager, and Coordinator) on ongoing projects and new projects
