About The Position

Nemera is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lean & Continuous Improvement Intern for Summer 2025. The intern will be involved in various tasks that support the Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives within the company. This role is ideal for a sophomore or higher student with a strong understanding of engineering principles and processes. The intern will have the opportunity to work closely with the team, receive mentorship, and contribute to significant projects aimed at improving operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Student working towards a bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably focused on industrial engineering or a related field
• Candidates preferred to have completed their second year of engineering studies and entering Junior or Senior year
• High problem-solving skills and self-direction
• Ability to work in a team or as an individual contributor

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with manufacturing and/or plastic injection molding
• Technical skills including problem-solving abilities and communication skills
• Specific software proficiency (e.g., Excel)
• Familiarity with Time studies
• Knowledge of 5S principles
• Understanding of Lean concepts such as Kanban and SMED (a plus)

Responsibilities

• Conducting Time studies
• Providing project support to the team
• Assisting with NPS (Net Promoter Score - Nemera production system) support activities
