This position will lead 6 Sigma Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) & Factory Operations (Ops) improvement projects within Drivetrain (Torque Convertors, Transmissions, Axles, Final Drives, Electric Drive, & CVTs) across a broad range of Caterpillar machines & facilities. Work towards a large reduction in customer defects & bottom-line warranty expense while improving Operations' cost, quality, & throughput.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering or Business or an equivalent level of work experience.

  • Six Sigma Methodology: Knowledge of the concepts of six sigma DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) methodology.

Responsibilities

  • Manage approximately 12-14 CPI/OPS projects (majority focus on operations) across various stages of implementation.
  • Lead regular cross functional team meetings or workshops to define the problem, create a project plan, implement immediate customer containment actions, identify & investigate issue root causes, facilitate solution(s) creation, validation, and implementation.
  • Work throughout the value streams collaborating on-site with Operations, Operations Quality, Engineering, & Drivetrain Quality to lead Ops improvement projects.
  • Participate in regular Obeyas (Quality Reviews) and escalate appropriately when encountering roadblocks.
