About The Position

Washington Gas has an immediate opening for a Leak Survey Analyst to assist Leak Survey management with scheduling and planning of leak survey activities. You Will: Develops schedule to conduct ALD drives in Washington Gas’ territory Utilizes mapping software to generate drives/routes for ALD Operators to follow Creates daily data collection routes and dispatches work to ALD Operators/drivers Collaborates with drivers to improve ALD routes Monitors output from ALD data collection for thoroughness and field-of-view Reviews and interprets ALD output and works with Leak Survey Supervisors to schedule LISA investigations Compiles findings from LISA investigations Identifies trends and make recommendations to management Participates in the development and review of ALD responses/filings with the general public and various regulatory commissions or PHMSA Promotes the expansion of the use of ALD within Washington Gas Collaborates with other ALD users, Picarro and other ALD providers Serves as a subject matter expert for all things ALD Represents the Company’s interests before internal and external audiences to include expert witness testimony, contractual negotiations, and interacts with PSC and SCC representatives Assist Leak Survey Supervisors with dispatching work in SAP Fills in for Leak Survey Supervisors when they are out Assist with emissions reduction reporting requirements

Requirements

  • Engineering degree from a recognized university preferably in chemical, mechanical, computer or equivalent engineering discipline suitable for the position focus, OR two-year relevant technical diploma, OR equivalent related work experience
  • 3+ years of related experience in a relevant engineering position or equivalent operational experience
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated planning and scheduling skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve business problems
  • Comprehensive ability to use computer software and applications including Microsoft Office, to share, retrieve, research and present business information

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of ArcGIS or ESRI a plus
  • Experience with Picarro or other ALD software a plus
