Plant Operator - What Will You Do? Promote a safe and productive working environment with a sustainable safety culture. Provide direction to employees including assigning work; following up for completion and accuracy; and adherence to company policies, practices, and processes. Assist employees with work related questions and problems. Provides guidance and problem solving when issues arise. Establish and maintain effective communications within all areas of the operations. Must make regular inspections for safety, housekeeping and mechanical issues. Facilitate training to ensure team members understand and utilize established processes and practices. Assist MSHA and DEP inspectors with facility inspections. Demonstrate a positive, upbeat attitude and energy level toward teammates, peers, and customers. Help to limit inefficiencies within the operation, verify quality of product produced. Verify adequate spare parts and consumables for proper operational efficiency. Troubleshoot equipment as needed. Track the performance of production equipment and assist with the scheduling of maintenance. Operate a variety of mobile and plant equipment as needed. Complete daily production, safety, and maintenance reports accurately. Provide updates to supervisor or manager on department progress. Partner with supervisor or manager to address work related and employee relations concerns. Understand and adhere to all Government Regulations.
