About The Position

The Shipping Lead is responsible for overseeing daily shipping operations to ensure accurate, timely and cost-effective inbound and outbound shipments. Employee may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of shipping methods (LTL, FTL, Parcel, and International.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.)
Experience with ERP systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of tools, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate daily shipping activities to meet production and customer delivery schedules
Train and support shipping team members.
Ensure accurate picking, packing, labeling and documentation
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company procedures, and shipping standards
Troubleshoot shipping issues and resolve delay or discrepancies
Assist with inventory control and cycle counts as needed
Use ERP to process shipment and reports
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Maintains a safe and clean work environment by following guidelines and procedures, and complying with all applicable regulations
Ability to work well in a team setting
Point person for addressing issues related to shipping
Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Perform all work procedures according to established Quality Management & Environmental Management Systems.
