About The Position

Inspects products manufactured to ensure compliance with specifications by performing the following duties. Employee may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of common inspection measuring equipment including, surface plates, micrometers, calipers, height gauges, radius gages, drop indicators, thickness gage, part/job specific inspection tools
  • Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of tools, Specifically Word, Excel, Power Point.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections at First Article, set-up approvals, in-process, in-coming and completes the final inspections in accordance with applicable Engineering criteria, documents, drawings and workmanship standards.
  • Document and report inspection findings and results and monitors corrective actions to inspection findings
  • Performs inspections using Precision Measurement equipment/devices
  • Ensures proper operation of measurement equipment by following operating instructions
  • Read and interpret specifications and part drawings
  • Perform product identification and traceability activities, as required
  • Assist in training production staff in quality assurance techniques
  • Transmit customer expectations to inspector/packers
  • Place a set up approved part at machine
  • Review Job packets prior to Job running for errors/discrepancies with Revs, BOM, packing
  • Funnel BOM changes to appropriate person
  • Review finished job packets for "Good Documentation" Material Log sheet and then file
  • Coordinate rework job activities
  • Develop New Inspection Records for New parts and or dimensional changes to existing parts (410F-420)
  • Take digital pictures of packaging and update existing packing
  • Help organize sample retain area
  • Print out Carton Labels for your shift
  • Prepare Product Certs and email as required
  • Process Rejects
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment by following guidelines and procedures, and complying with all applicable regulations
  • Ability to work well in a team setting
  • Work together with Production Team to resolve product issues
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned
