About The Position
We are currently looking for a Leading Power Engineer to join our Power Production team in a permanent position. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for directing and performing all aspects of the safe and cost-efficient operation of the high-pressure boiler turbine unit, and all associated auxiliary equipment. Key elements of this role include assisting the Operations Shift Supervisor by coordinating specific communication within the shift, training and developing Power Engineers, and replacing the Operations Shift Supervisor for shift coverage as requested. You will be required to participate in competency-based training, regulatory training, and on-the-job training to support the development of additional skills. This position is considered a safety sensitive position, and the successful candidate must comply with the Emera Alcohol and Drug Policy which requires a confidential pre-employment alcohol and drug test.
