About The Position

Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique engineering challenges we face daily. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers. Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage various Engineering-specific programs and teams. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing product and component supply chain resiliency strategy to enable NPI launches and sustaining supply capability. You will be an expert in hardware and manufacturing supply chain processes with a proven track record to successfully develop, qualify and scale-up new manufacturing processes in collaboration with contract manufacturers (CM) and joint development manufacturers (JDM). You will have an extensive understanding of the end-to-end supply chain tools, processes and techniques used to manufacture infrastructure and server products. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $192,000-$278,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in program management.
  • 5 years of experience in leadership role with/without direct reports.
  • Experience managing both component qualifications and supply chain resiliency programs in a supply chain organization.
  • Experience managing new product introductions (NPI) for hardware manufacturing processes.

Nice To Haves

  • 8 years of experience managing cross-functional/team projects.
  • Experience in project management launching hardware new product introduction processes for electronics (e.g., printed circuit board assembly (PCBA), server, racks, and manufacturing).
  • Experience with direct engagement in planning, manufacturing operations, logistics, material management and planning, supply chain design and strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with hardware development team and cross-functional leadership teams to execute on major supply chain resiliency implementation and overhaul across the Cloud supply chain organization (CSCO).
  • Form and align vertical program teams to include definition of goals and metrics, facilitating program sessions and delivering outcomes for NPI operation and supply chain program management roles.
  • Identify and deliver opportunities to mitigate supply chain risk, enable resilience and cost management process, tools and system improvement opportunities.
  • Provide guidance and leadership across the product operations and CSCO hardware /NPI portfolio on product portfolio supply resiliency.
  • Coordinate with supply chain managers to identify new manufacturing supply chains requirements and collaborate with product operations advance operation engineering team to enable scalable manufacturing processes to keep up with new technology and industry standards.
