The Leadership Program Coordinator is responsible for implementing LEAD San Diego's leadership programs, including Advance, Impact, and Influence. This role involves collaboration with internal teams to enhance the impact of Chamber and LEAD initiatives, focusing on program management, marketing, community recognition, and event management.

  • Plan, manage and implement day-to-day operations of three leadership programs.
  • Identify, outreach to and secure speakers, refining topics that coincide with contemporary public policy and topical issues affecting our greater region.
  • Secure venues, process contracts and invoices, ensuring timely payments.
  • Work with venues/hosts to ensure smooth execution of program logistics, including A/V and program supplies.
  • Communicate with speakers and secure supporting materials (PowerPoints, handouts, etc.).
  • Review and update monthly session surveys and post-program evaluations, analyzing results for strategic planning.
  • Manage and track sponsor deliverables and trade agreements, providing necessary updates to sponsors.
  • Document and provide day of program social media content.
  • Manage marketing needs for program recruitment, including creating promotional flyers and social media plans.
  • Make necessary website updates to reflect current status of programs.
  • Plan, draft, and edit content for LEAD newsletters and emails, providing relevant content for Chamber communications.
  • Manage all communications for program participants.
  • Review, update, and post applications in Salesforce, ensuring accurate data entry and timely updates.
  • Manage end-to-end application processes, including receiving and vetting applications and scheduling interviews.
  • Develop and provide comprehensive orientation materials for program participants.
  • Request and track invoices for program tuitions, collaborating with Finance for timely processing.
  • Provide day-of program details to applicants in advance of program dates.
  • Provide all program follow-up communication, including photos, reports, and presenter slides.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent strongly preferred.
  • 2-3 years' experience in program management for educational, public affairs, or nonprofit organizations is preferred.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including tact and professionalism.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Experience with general event planning and execution preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable using social media for promotional purposes.
  • Experience with non-profit boards is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the LEAD and the San Diego business community is a plus.
