About The Position

Synthomer is a specialty chemicals manufacturer and one of the world’s foremost suppliers of water-based polymers. Our Leadership Development Program is an exciting career accelerator designed to jump-start your career by tackling high impact business challenges and working with colleagues and senior leaders at all levels within the organization. This two-year program will sharpen your technical skills and provide exposure to all facets of operations, helping to diversify your experience as a leader and valued team member. The program consists of three rotational assignments that align with current strategic initiatives, allowing you to make significant contributions to the organization. After successfully completing the program, you will be prepared for an impactful Operations & Engineering role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of one internship or CO-OP providing practical experience in strategic marketing or market development (two or more preferred).
  • 3.2 GPA minimum.
  • Geographically mobile during the program, with the ability to relocate within the U.S. and travel internationally.
  • Permanent work authorization in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in three rotational assignments aligned with strategic initiatives.
  • Contribute to new product scale-up or product transfer between chemical operations.
  • Execute and commission capital projects.
  • Integrate global Manufacturing Excellence into plant operations.
  • Lead six-sigma projects to improve product yield, uptime, or energy usage.
