The Fleet Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the performance of the fleet services function, focusing on vehicle servicing, damage repair, and the in-fleeting and de-fleeting of rental vehicles. The role aims to maximize fleet utilization and profitability while ensuring compliance with business and company guidelines. This position involves managing team performance, financial forecasting, vendor relationships, and employee lifecycle management to foster a high-performance culture.

  • Develop and implement operating plans to maximize fleet utilization.
  • Direct and control maintenance, repair, and reconditioning of fleet vehicles.
  • Manage the in-fleeting of new and used vehicles and de-fleeting for sale or auction.
  • Set, communicate, monitor, and update goals for key performance indicators.
  • Forecast, budget, and manage key financial drivers related to fleet services.
  • Coordinate automotive damage appraisals and repairs, including documentation and parts ordering.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and ensure service levels are met.
  • Manage the repair and maintenance of buses at bussing locations.
  • Partner with Fleet owners and District/City Managers to prioritize workload.
  • Manage the employee lifecycle, including hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management.
  • Implement HR policies and practices consistently and fairly.
  • Ensure a safe work environment by following safety policies and practices.
  • High School diploma required; 2-4 year college degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years management experience in a related field (rental car, automotive shop, or service-oriented field).
  • Valid driver's license and successful background check.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in financial forecasting and management.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Competitive salary of $90,000 per year.
