About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by insuring the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly. This position will also monitor all equipment to insure it is working properly and notify the supervisor of any needed maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This position pays $18.70/hr. Description This position is responsible for providing guidance and ensuring compliance with management directives to Team Members in the IQF (Individually Quick Frozen) Area while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Tasks This position is responsible for providing guidance and ensuring compliance with management directives to the Team Members on a daily basis. The position is responsible to assist, train, and encourage Team Members in their area of responsibility. This position is responsible to set up their line(s) for production and any other duties assigned by Management. This position will be able to complete each job in the IQF area. This position is also required to complete various log sheets. This position will be exposed to possible cold temperatures and wet conditions. This position will require walking, bending, standing and lifting up to 70 pounds on a frequent basis. Must maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture, receive training as required & perform various positions as required/assigned. Must have a minimum of 6 months of experience in a meat processing /manufacturing environment Lead or supervision or managerial experience preferred High School diploma or equivalent preferred Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork Must be able to read invoices, packing slips, records of materials, etc. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
