San Dimas Lead Youth Pastor
About The Position
The San Dimas Lead Youth Pastor provides visionary leadership, spiritual direction, and direct supervision for the San Dimas Youth Pastor and the broader ONE&ALL Youth ministry on the San Dimas Campus. This role exists to help students far from God come near by building a thriving culture of discipleship through community groups, student leadership, and engaging ministry environments. As the Lead Youth Pastor, they take an active role in shepherding the youth of San Dimas through intentional discipleship, mentoring, and a consistent, visible presence in the lives of students. They are responsible for championing the ONE&ALL vision, ensuring it translates effectively into the local schools and neighborhoods of San Dimas.
Requirements
- Education: B.A. in Biblical Studies or equivalent work experience in a large congregation.
- Experience: 3–5 years of fulltime Youth Ministry experience with a proven track record of building and growing a ministry.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to supervise staff and lead through vision rather than just task management.
- Community Focus: A heart for the city of San Dimas and a desire to be present in local schools and community events.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and provide visionary leadership to the San Dimas Youth Pastor, offering regular mentorship, performance evaluations, and spiritual coaching to ensure their growth and ministerial effectiveness.
- Lead the San Dimas Youth team in recruiting, equipping, and building up volunteer team members to lead students through community groups.
- Manage and oversee the allocated spending of the San Dimas Youth budget.
- Conduct and report on bi-annual performance evaluations for all staff members within the ministry area.
- Shepherd the youth of San Dimas by being a consistent, relatable, and present mentor who actively engages in their spiritual formation.
- Engage the local San Dimas community and schools, empowering students and leaders to be salt and light in their local campuses and neighborhoods.
- Equip leaders and students to run successful City Nights, ONE Nights, and weekend Jr. High groups where students grow toward Jesus.
- Partner with the Campus Discipleship Pastor and Central Next-Gen for San Dimas/ONE Night baptisms.
- Engage San Dimas parents with a comprehensive weekend discipleship strategy for themselves and their students.
- Attend San Dimas Campus Meetings and collaborate with the Experience Team on O&A Youth graphics and social media.
- Record youth ministry content, including writing and delivering biblical, age-appropriate sermons.
- Support and collaborate on Next-Gen Discipleship initiatives: ONEFEST, Summer Camps, and Leadership Development.
- Support Local Outreach initiatives: Experience LA and Encounter Mexicali.
- Continue to grow as a follower of Christ, so that what you do overflows from your relationship with Him.
- Faithfully give to the Lord through ONE&ALL Church (tithe as a benchmark).
- Live out ONE&ALL Staff Values in relationships with staff, congregation, and community.
- Serve at Easter and Christmas; participate in Monthly All Church Prayer Nights.
- Be on Campus Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
- Approve time cards for non-exempt employees before 10 am on Mondays of payroll weeks.
- Perform sacerdotal duties (weddings, funerals, baptisms) as circumstances demand.
- Meet scriptural requirements for an elder by living a spiritually surrendered life.
