About The Position

The Auto Club Group is seeking a Lead Workday Technology Consultant to serve as the Workday lead technology expert responsible for system configurations across multiple disciplines/modules. This role involves managing Cloud solutions that support assigned Centers of Excellence (COE) and providing expert input for the entire Workday platform. The consultant will utilize advanced knowledge to support all phases of system functionality, including integrations, maintenance, administration, data management, reporting, and other operations associated with the assigned discipline. Responsibilities include designing, building, testing, and deploying configuration changes, developing data integrity protocols, monitoring technology performance, and resolving complex issues. The consultant will also lead projects, provide end-user training, and maintain vendor relationships while staying informed of industry trends and new technologies. The primary focus will be on the Workday Finance modules, including consultative services, complex analyses, and managing the Workday Accounting Center.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and five years of Workday or similar finance system experience, or college level coursework and ten years of relevant experience.
• Experience with analyzing, testing, documenting, implementing, and/or deploying business systems and programs.
• Experience in planning, organizing, controlling, monitoring, and reporting projects.
• Experience in designing business unit specific systems and training others on technical projects.
• Experience developing security controls and investigating production problems.
• Experience with database administration and programming complex reporting against relational databases.
• Advanced knowledge of structured system analysis, design, and testing protocols.
• Project management skills and ability to evaluate complex systems.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance.
• Master’s degree in related business line/field.
• Workday Pro Certification.
• 5+ years’ experience with ERP or EPM systems.
• Hands-on experience with Workday modules: Financials, Business Process workflow, Report Writer, Accounting Center, PRISM, and security.
• Experience with Financial Accounting including month-end close process and journal entries.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Workday lead technology expert responsible for system configurations for more than one discipline/module.
• Manage Cloud solutions that support assigned COE.
• Provide input as the acknowledged expert for the entire Workday platform.
• Support all phases of system functionality including integrations, maintenance, administration, data management, reporting, and other operations.
• Design, build, test, and deploy configuration changes, reports, or dashboards.
• Develop data integrity protocols and security controls between HR/Finance and other internal departments.
• Monitor performance of the technology and software.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues regarding systems and data.
• Advise and recommend technical solutions and process updates.
• Lead projects and project teams responsible for reviewing, testing, and implementing upgrades and patches.
• Provide end-user training on system functionality and business processes.
• Lead vendor relationships and stay informed of industry trends and new technologies.
• Understand the ACG business strategy and support the implementation of business strategies into technology solutions.
