Green Dot Corporation is seeking a Lead Web Engineer to join the Consumer Engineering Team, focusing on building scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications that support our financial technology platforms.

  • Architect and develop enterprise-grade web applications using modern frameworks and cloud-native technologies.
  • Lead the design and implementation of modular, white-labeled, and localized web solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, Mobile, and Backend Engineering to deliver seamless user experiences.
  • Drive technical initiatives to improve performance, maintainability, and scalability of web platforms.
  • Implement observability and monitoring solutions to ensure system reliability and user satisfaction.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices across the web domain.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions that align with compliance, security, and accessibility standards.
  • Operate in an AI-driven SDLC environment, leveraging tools like GitHub Copilot and Azure DevOps.
  • 8+ years of web development experience, with 2+ years in a technical leadership role.
  • Expert-level proficiency in React and Angular framework.
  • Experience with Azure Cloud, including Azure Functions, Blob Storage, and Service Bus.
  • Experience with Azure/AWS Cloud services.
  • Experience in containerizing web applications using technologies like Docker and AKS.
  • Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases like Cosmos DB.
  • Strong understanding of accessibility standards such as WCAG and ARIA.
  • Experience in implementing and managing Datadog dashboards, monitors, and alerts for web applications.
  • Proficiency in RESTful API design, OAuth2, and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with automated testing, unit testing, TDD, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong grasp of web security, encryption standards, and privacy compliance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment with AI-enhanced workflows.
  • Strong Communication Skills.
  • Experience in fintech or consumer-facing web platforms.
  • Familiarity with operational domains such as payments, identity verification, and customer onboarding.
  • Contributions to open-source web libraries or technical publications.
