About The Position

Water Quality Control Professionals LLC is searching for an experienced operations technician. The position involves overseeing and operating multiple smaller water, wastewater, distribution and collection systems. The operator will be the licensed ORC for several small systems. Duties of the operator include facility inspections, routine maintenance, equipment repairs, sample collection and analysis, maintain clean facilities, act as compliance officer to systems. You will be responsible for all aspects of operations, maintenance and compliance for the assigned systems.

Requirements

• Minimum Colorado Class B Water or Wastewater license, both a plus.
• Minimum Colorado Class 1 Distribution or Collection license, both a plus.
• Clean driving record.
• Strong knowledge of CDPHE Reg 11, Colorado Primary Drinking Water Regulations.
• Understand NPDES permitting.
• Keep detailed records of plant operations, maintenance activities, and regulatory compliance data.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot system issues and implement corrective actions in a timely manner.
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions and during emergency situations as required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Perform on-call duties as necessary.
• Assist with plant upgrades, repairs, and emergency maintenance as needed.
