This Opportunity WSP is looking for a Lead Water Resources Design Engineer to join our dynamic team in Gainesville, Florida. Are you a water resources engineer who enjoys technical aspects of engineering design? We have an excellent opportunity for a design engineer focused on technical problems. In this position, you will design and analyze engineering projects, manage tasks, and develop new business opportunities. Much of the work will be within Florida and focused on natural systems restoration, stormwater treatment, dredging and other associated projects. Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in environmental, agricultural, or civil engineering
7-10 years of post-baccalaureate experience in engineering and design
Experience in a consulting practice
Registered Professional Engineer in Florida; or registered Professional Engineer in a different state, with the ability to obtain Florida registration within three months of employment
Trained project manager
Skilled communicator (oral and written) of technical information
Travel, as necessary; primarily within Florida
The position will be in the Gainesville, FL office.
Proficiency in using the Suite of MS Office products
Strong oral and written communication skills; proven ability to communicate with clients, prepare reports and proposals.
Safe driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy
Drug Screen required for this position

Nice To Haves

Graduate degree or degrees in engineering
Knowledge of Florida hydrology and Florida water-resources issues
Client relationships and project experience in Florida
Relationships with Florida’s water management districts
Experience with the following water models a plus: ICPR, HEC, MODFLOW
