About The Position

As the Lead Warehouse Team Member, you will own a set of critical tasks and functions as part of the daily execution of warehouse work and training. As a coordinator, you will be responsible for managing workflows across the facility, planning labor, moving resources, interacting with inbound carriers, administrating work in our various systems, and generally managing the daily operation. As a trainer, you will own the training for new and experienced warehouse team members, including PIT training, cross training, efficiency coaching, certification and recertification, etc. In all functions, you will partner with building leadership to plan daily and weekly labor needs, ensure we meet our daily operational goals, evaluate and refine existing training programs, build training for new processes and initiatives, monitor and impact training effectiveness, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives as assigned. Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 2+ years of warehouse experience
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and written/verbal communication skills
  • Exemplary performance and safety record
  • Certified on pallet rider, counterbalance, and hi-reach (cherry picker preferred)
  • Proven record of working independently with little oversight - High degree of initiative and urgency
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organization
  • Thorough understanding of inbound and outbound operational priorities, dependencies, and processes
  • Ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Comfortable with Microsoft programs to include Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Office, etc.
  • Solutions orientated proactive problem solver
  • Proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking): to safely follow verbal instructions, complete documentation and paperwork, and accurately interpret labels, pick lists, scanner prompts, signage, and company communications

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s Degree
  • 3+ years of warehouse experience, preferably distribution
  • Experience leading training, facilitating meetings, managing operations, and resolving exceptions

Responsibilities

  • Manage Distribution Center leaders’ calendars, organizing meetings and events on behalf of the distribution center.
  • Manage travel arrangements for leaders and team members who are involved in training and supporting other DCs.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations in the office; coordinate shipping and courier services, maintain uniform and personal protective equipment inventory levels; manage catering vendors
  • Process invoices and purchase orders; write memos and reports
  • Support all staff engagement initiatives
  • Other duties as may be assigned at management’s discretion, including warehouse support or inventory-related activities
