About The Position

The position involves leading production associates in the operation of equipment with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. The role requires maintaining cleanliness of equipment and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. The individual will also be responsible for training new associates and assisting in product development.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of departmental operational positions and procedures.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Effective problem-solving skills.
• Ability to review and correct production paperwork.
• Ability to use mathematical functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety, food safety, quality, and legal compliance.
• Perform all work in accordance with environmental, health, and safety standards, rules, regulations, and practices of the facility.
• Pass training/certifications as required for qualification.
• Perform lockout tagout as required for qualification.
• Ensure daily department start-up and shut-down of equipment and processes.
• Inspect and ensure all machinery is operational and clean.
• Work with operators and maintenance in troubleshooting to ensure proper machine operations and standards.
• Communicate with the maintenance team and provide operational support.
• Understand the PRISM system for proper pallet tracking and production inventory.
• Maintain standard changeovers while ensuring line efficiencies.
• Coordinate production schedule with the Supervisor to increase production outputs.
• Identify proper product flow from hold tanks through flow panels to production machines.
• Provide relief breaks to associates as needed.
• Assist in compounding responsibilities for new product development.
• Train new associates.
• Collect, review, and submit production paperwork.
• Disassemble, clean, rinse, and sanitize all product contact machinery using proper processes.
• Reassemble production equipment after cleaning and sanitizing.
• Document completed work as required by the supervisor.
• Comply with all other duties as assigned.
