Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1 year or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong math and reading skills.
  • Positive commitment to accomplish warehouse/company goals.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish preferred) in South Florida Region.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to draft routine reports and correspondence.
  • Working knowledge of Eclipse.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Previous forklift/cherry picker experience preferred.
  • Basic safety knowledge (i.e., proper lifting techniques, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction, leadership, and management to the Logistics Team.
  • Coach and train associates in the department.
  • Delegate tasks, resolve conflicts, and guide the team.
  • Communicate with the management team regarding performance and recommendations on how to achieve business goals.
  • Receive and verify materials or items received or distributed.
  • Drive equipment to transport items within the distribution center.
  • Sort and place material or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence.
  • Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items.
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves.
  • Consolidate freight for shipping and load trucks for delivery to customers.
  • Facilitate and distribute shipping tickets and verify shipping methods.
  • Review customer orders and determine the right size reel and type of wire needed.
  • Measure and cut wire using machinery.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and safety regulations.
