About The Position
This position will offer you the ability to apply and expand your knowledge of underground transmission line engineering, including routing, duct bank configurations, manhole placement and electrical principles. You will be responsible for the design of complex underground transmission lines for voltages up to 500kV, including cost analyses, development of design criteria, siting and routing in complex environments, and placement of manholes. Additionally, you will handle physical design including duct bank layouts, development of trenchless designs, cable pulling calculations, and development of drawing packages. You will also conduct cable selection studies, determine bonding schemes, perform ampacity calculations, and develop riser structure configurations and structural loading. Specifications for cable procurement, duct bank installation, trenchless installation, and general construction will also be part of your responsibilities. You will work and coordinate with vendors and clients to specify transmission line components and direct a project team of other engineers, designers, and drafters. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing you to work three days a week in the office and two days remotely, along with a generous relocation package depending on your location.
