CD PROJEKT RED is looking for a Lead UI Engineer to join Cyberpunk 2 Team. In this role, you will lead the UI Engineering Team responsible for implementing and maintaining user interface features for the game.
Managing your direct reports and supporting their professional development and career path, including setting up 1:1s, performance management, hiring and promotions.
Working closely with designers, artists and other developers to understand their needs and ensure that your team is aligned with everyone to deliver on expectations.
Guiding your team to build and enhance UI features.
Maintaining and optimizing existing systems.
Creating new features for the user interface framework.
Implementing tools for UI artists and designers.
Tracking and fixing bugs in the game user interface and user interface framework.
Managing and completing tasks effectively and on time, while creating high quality code.
At least 7 years of professional experience as a UI programmer/engineer within the games industry.
3+ years of management experience.
Understanding the elements and player experience of successful user interfaces in modern video games.
Ability to build a user interface in a way that is accessible to everyone.
Strong proficiency in C++ programming and knowledge of Unreal Engine.
Proficiency in algorithms and code architecture.
Debugging and optimization skills.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently when required.
Ability to communicate clearly, effectively and respectfully in a multicultural and multilingual environment across time zones is essential.
Experience with Diegetic/In-world UI.
Experience working with Common UI in Unreal.
Experience with multiplayer UI.
Experience with Unreal UI MVVM.
