About The Position

The Goddard School in Chicago (South Loop), IL, is looking for a motivated self-starter for Lead Two's Toddler Daycare Teacher positions. In this dynamic role, you will lead classroom activities, foster a safe and engaging environment, and support the developmental needs of Two's and/or Toddlers. Your expertise will help lay the foundation for lifelong learning, ensuring each child feels valued, supported, and excited to explore the world around them. A candidate must have strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and have a good understanding of age-appropriate activities for young children.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with Two's and Toddlers in daycare or preschool settings.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus.
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle behavior management effectively.
  • Experience with caregiving tasks such as diapering, feeding, and nurturing young children.
  • Familiarity with early childhood education curricula and activities designed for preschool-aged children.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with families and team members effectively.

  • Families engagement through email newsletters, welcoming them with warm greetings, thorough communication of information at pick up times, and participating in events
  • Review and Lead lesson planning, accountable for timely implementation and communication to families
  • Ability to work on achieving accreditations
  • Ability to understand special needs requirements
  • Timely Reporting, Documentation and Follow up of child observations and incidents
  • Contributing to peer Professional Development
