We are seeking a Lead Transporter for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. The Lead Patient Transporter is responsible for overseeing the daily workflow and management of all the patient transporters along with the safe and expeditious transport of patients and supplies to and from locations throughout the hospital campus. This role requires operating and maintaining various types of patient transport devices and providing training and mentoring to transport staff.

Requirements

• American Red Cross or American Heart Association (BLS OR BCLS) Course Completion and Certification.
• Crisis Prevention Intervention within 3 months of hire.
• 6 months of transporting experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily workflow and management of all patient transporters.
• Ensure safe and efficient transport of patients and supplies throughout the hospital.
• Operate and maintain cleanliness and safety of patient transport devices.
• Train transport staff on proper use of PATRA patient transport software.
• Monitor efficiency of workflow management.
• Provide training on customer service skills and patient care during transport.
• Participate in Quality Improvement processes and adhere to RHC standards of behavior.
