Lead Trainer & Installer for Yacht Armor Position Summary The Lead Trainer & Installer will be responsible for overseeing and leading hands-on Yacht Armor training seminars in our training facility, as well as on-site support to our installation network. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership ability, and a deep understanding of marine surface preparation and installation techniques. This is a leadership role for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship and enjoys mentoring others. Ability to work on docks, lifts, ladders, and in outdoor marine environments. Leadership or training experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and a craftsmanship mindset. Valid driver’s license. Ability to fly around the country as required to perform training. Preferred Qualifications Experience working on yachts and high-value vessels. Experience building or leading installation teams. Familiarity with marine coatings, gelcoat correction, or detailing. Work with high-end vessels and premium clientele. Training & Development Develop and deliver structured hands-on training programs for new installers. Mentor junior installers and subcontractors. Establish installation SOPs and best practices. Evaluate installer performance and provide coaching. Assist in certification and skill development pathways. Travel to various locations around the country for on-site training. Installation & Quality Control Lead installation of Yacht Armor marine protection film on boats and yachts. Ensure proper surface preparation, film application, finishing, and detailing. Maintain high-quality control standards across all installations. Troubleshot complex installations and material challenges. Perform final inspections prior to customer delivery. Leadership & Operations Coordinate installation schedules with the operations team. Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory standards. Communicate effectively with clients, marina managers, and internal teams. Represent Yacht Armor professionally on job sites. Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience in the marine industry (required). Proven experience installing marine vinyl wraps. Experience installing marine protection film (preferred). OR significant experience installing automotive paint protection film (PPF). Strong understanding of surface prep, adhesion, and environmental considerations in marine settings.
